Frank reported he had received a letter from G4ZTD complaining of non receipt of a membership certificate, a reply had been sent explaining a certificate had not been adopted as a policy, but was being considered.
Frank had sent letters to the editors of the main journals proclaiming in advance the celebrations next year for the Society's 75th anniversary and requesting any assistance in compiling history.
The Porta-kabin had been moved but still requires levelling it was agreed by all that a fence panel would be obtained when the Kabin has been levelled.
From the various meeting there appears to be very little support for the VHF field day, unless a volunteer organisor comes forward there is doubt as to whether LRS can enter. The committee will support any volunteers who come forward.
Geoff told the committee of a possibility to purchase some test equipment at a reasonable price, authority was given to Geoff to investigate and purchase.
Following requests and discussions it was agreed we should purchase a Cap. Co. ATU and two keys,one Iambic and One Single paddle key.
In view of the fact that the clubs computer is very rarely used, it was agreed to invite tenders from members for its purchase.
Gary is to investigate a new style of QSL card for the Society for both the 'A' and the 'B' licence.
