COMMITTEE MEETING held on Monday. 9th. Feb. 1987.

Frank opened the meeting , by reading a letter from G6ZZE. Paul, resigning from his committee position. The committee invited G0BAL. Peter, to fill this position in view of the fact that he polled the next highest votes at the AGM.
A suggestion was put forward, by Geoff, that future minutes should be made more formal, especially related to actions placed on individuals. A discussion then took place as to the feasibility of open meetings, with the outcome that, a one off trial 'Progress and Planning' meeting will be held on Mar. 9th. 87.
In view of remarks made at the AGM, regarding a Survey carried Out of members wishes, and suggestions made, it was agreed that a new survey should be carried out by Gary. When completed, a Copy and a calendar of events will be posted to all members.
After discussion, the sum of, up to £100 is to be spent on an extractor fan for the room used for CW lessons. Frank to arrange this. A further proposal discussed, and agreed, was to redecorate the old club-house during this year.
In view of the value of the club's equipment, it was decided to obtain quotes from the EMEB, and one other, for the installations of four storage heaters in the club-house.
At a request from Gary, the committee agreed to spend up to £100 on a top-band ATU.
Frank to attempt to reprint, and distribute, club membership certificates during the year.
The company supplying the portakabin claimed that the opening to the car-park was too narrow for their wagon to deliver it into. After meeting their representative, on site, Frank agreed to get the opening widened. This was carried out, for the club by G0AIZ. Bill.
