COMMITTEE MEETING
MONDAY 9th NOVEMBER 1987
Members present : G4ITP Taff, G4PDZ, Frank, G4JDI Tony, G4IFB Gary , G4KKS Mick, G6BAI Peter , G4WYN Gwynne, G3TQF Geoff, G4OOS John.
A complaint has been received that the copies of the minutes posted in the club house have , again , disappeared. Frank agreed to photocopy the originals from May 87 up to the present.
Geoff agreed, following discussion last month, to prepare specifications for various types of towers suitable for club use.
The Leicester City Council have submitted a proposal to increased the rent on club premises, the committee felt that we have no alternative but to accept the proposal.
A note placed in the suggestion box asked consideration be given to the club membership of the RSGB being altered so that a copy of Radio Communication be received, in order that members may know the dates of Morse-Tests, rallies, etc., the committee felt members who had an interest in the various events should themselves be full members of the RSGB, however in view of the very small difference in cost it was agreed to contact the RSGB with a view to altering the membership, at the same time to subscribe to obtaining a copy of QST.
The Committee passed a vote of thanks to the staff of the Bring and Buy stand for their commendable effort at the Leicester Amateur Radio Show held at Granby Halls.
