The Chairman welcomed the new members to the Committee.
The debate on towers continued, and having taken due regard to the technical advice given by G4LRO Roger, the committee decided to order the Strumech P60 tower, requesting the secretary to obtain a template for the installation of the base. The committee will decide the exact position of the base.
This being the 75th anniversary of the foundation of the Leicester Radio Society, discussion took place as to the best method of celebrating the event, one suggestion was to take part in the Leicester Charity Sports Festival in September, no decision was taken.
Geoff had received a request from the Groby organizers to give a display of Amateur Radio at their festival, the committee showed a provisional interest. Gary was given the clearance to organize new wire antennas for the club and to obtain chassis gutters for the Workshop.
A junk sale is to be held at the club on the 25th of April and an invitation is extended to non club members and other clubs for this event.
