OPEN MEETING
MONDAY 7TH MARCH, 1988
The members present were told that the committee had invited tenders for the redecoration of the interior of the old building.
A verbal report had been received from the Council stating they were considering the repair to the roof. Confirmation would be forwarded later.
A statement was made as to the intention to purchase a 60 foot wind up sectional, tilt over tower, invitations were extended to the members to dig the Six foot hole required to set the tower, but a decision was made to employ a casual labourer to do the job.
Mick G4KKS asked what was being done about the soggy condition of part of the Car park, Frank replied, a recent survey revealed the problem was caused by water draining from the farmers land, what was required initially was a gulley to take the water around the edge of the car park, this was being attended to.
Frank gave a brief run down on the latest position in regard to the claim by a member of another club against the Show Committee.
In reply to a suggestion from G1YFT through G1SAL Eric, it was hoped to encourage more interest in club projects where newcomers can learn more about the hobby.
