Members present :- G4ITP Taff, G4PDZ Frank, G4IFB Gary, G4OOS John, GØAIZ Bill, G4WYN Gwynne, G1SAL Eric, G3TQF Geoff and G4JDI Tony.
G4ITP Taff on behalf of the committee expressed sorrow at losing Gary to another club, he is shortly to take up new employment in Epsom.
A working party is required to set the base and erect the new tower, experience of concreting would be useful.
Richard G1XYG has organised an exhibition station for the Groby Village Carnival using the call sign GB75GVC.
A remark has been passed that some well meaning and no doubt sincere members are confusing the pupils of the R.A.E. class by offering the benefit of their experience during lessons.
The committee have been approached by the RAIBC asking for a representative from LRS, anyone interested, see Frank.
Frank in his capacity as secretary of the Leicester Amateur Radio Show Committee handed a cheque for £4275-00 to the treasurer, Tony, of L.R.S, in appreciation of the efforts by the members at the show at Granby Halls. Gary reported a good result at the recent NFD contest, thanks to concentrating on Top band with 10 watts, yes, 10 watts.
