Thanks to the sterling efforts of G4LRO Roger and the trusty band of helpers the new tower has now been installed, the additional height should prove to be most advantageous to HF operations in the future.
Richard G1XYG organised a most successful demonstration of Amateur radio at the recent Groby Carnival, thanks to Richard and all who assisted.
In view of the recent departure of G4IFB Gary to pastures new, G1YEZ Tony
was co-opted onto the committee, welcome to the hot seat Tony.
This being the 75th anniversary year of the foundation of the Leicester Radio Society it has been decided to display features of days gone by on a stand at the forthcoming Leicester Amateur Radio Show, the usual show of strength will be required by members of L. R. S.
When the post of R.S.G.B. Regional Liason Officer is officially made vacant, the committee feels it would be good for the prestige of the club for one of our members to apply for the post.
After lengthy discussion it was agreed not to attend the international day on Victoria Park due to lack of support in Organising such an event.
