COMMITTEE MEETING

Members present: G4ITP Taff, G4PDZ Frank, G4WYN Gwynne, G4 JDI Tony, GØAIZ Bill , G1 SAL Eric, G1YEZ Tony, G3TQF Geoff.
With the departure of Alan Taint, the RLO to the RSGB, to Canada, there is an interest in the position by members of LRS, Frank to follow up with RSGB as to method of appointment.
The TB3 HF beam has been restored to its former glory, and has been put to good use.
G4JDI Tony was requested to ensure the cover for members at the Leicester Show was adequate, and in fact, present insurance did cover members at such an event.
It was agreed that the annual celebration to commemorate the opening of the new club house should include the 75th anniversary of the foundation of L.R.S. G3TQF proposed, after discussion of the 1989 Special Olympics, that LRS should make a donation of £2000, G1YEZ Tony proposed an amendment to £500, seconded by G4WYN, at a show of hands 6 voted for the amendment 2 abstained,
proposal to be put to next open meeting.
It was agreed that LRS should have a static display stand at this years Leicester show, showing pictures and articles during the 75 years of L.R.S. G1YEZ Tony agreed to arrange the connections to the antennas on the Tower making provision for switching from the shack to the club house.
G4JDI Tony is to arrange the Bring & Buy stand at the Leicester Show with G4KKS Mick.
