Comment was passed on the new tower which now has the HF and 6M beams operational, Tony G1YEZ is to arrange switching from shack to the new club room for ease of use in contests etc., questions were asked why there was no electric motor on the tower, the committee answered that the cost did not warrant expenditure until there was proof of use.
There was complaints of insufficient publishing of notices of contests, in an effort to assist in future, Wayne volunteered his services as contest manager.
A proposal was put to the meeting, as agreed at the committee meeting, that a donation of £500 should be made to the Special Olympic Games of 1989, G3PWG Jack suggested it was not constitutional to put this proposal to this open meeting it was agreed to defer proposal to the next AGM.
After discussion the committee agreed to look into the possibility of providing further lighting on the car park.
The chairman thanked members for attending and closed the meeting at 21.32 hours.
